24lp/mm
True resolution you can see in the fine detail
Resolution in line pairs per millimetre measures how many alternating light and dark lines a sensor can tell apart. The RVG 6200 resolves 24 of them in a single millimetre, using 19-micron pixels, a CsI scintillator and a fiber-optic plate over its CMOS chip.
That detail matters for fine endodontic files, early interproximal lesions and the dentin-enamel junction.
Line-pair test pattern drawn to scale, from 4 to 24 lp/mm. The highlighted group is the sensor's rated true resolution.
Built for daily use in a busy practice
The RVG 6200 is the flagship of Carestream Dental's intraoral sensor line. Here is what it brings to the chair.
Position, expose, view
Acquisition is three steps. The sensor is ready when you are, so there's no waiting on a capture button or a separate interface box.
Rear-entry, thinner cable
The cable leaves from the back of the sensor and is about 20% thinner than earlier RVG cables, so the sensor sits more naturally in the mouth and is easier to position.
Image processing on your terms
With CS Adapt image processing, apply periodontic, endodontic and dentin-enamel junction filters and fine-tune sharpness with a slider until the image reads the way you prefer.
Designed to last
A shock-resistant housing, reinforced connections and a cable tested for more than 100,000 flexions are built to withstand bites, drops and constant repositioning.

Read the warrantyCommon questions
Who can buy this sensor?
The RVG 6200 is a prescription medical device. We sell it only to licensed dentists, dental practices, dental schools and other licensed practitioners in the United States, or to buyers acting on their order. We may ask for a state license number or practice details before shipping. Our professional-use notice explains why.
What size is this sensor?
This listing is for the Size 2 sensor. Its 26.6 × 35.5 mm active area captures more anatomy per exposure than Size 1, which many practices prefer for bitewings and adult periapicals. Overall dimensions are 32.2 × 44.2 mm with a 7.3 mm thick sensor plate. If you're unsure whether it suits your patients, call us and we'll talk it through.
What software do I need?
Works with CS Imaging software from Carestream Dental on a Windows PC. If you don't already run CS Imaging, contact us before ordering so we can confirm what you'll need.
Will it work with my X-ray unit?
The sensor works with standard intraoral X-ray generators, using short exposure times. You'll set exposure values on your generator to suit the sensor; the manufacturer's user guide lists recommended settings. Tell us your generator model if you'd like us to check before you order.
Is the sensor genuine?
Yes. We sell genuine Carestream Dental RVG 6200 sensors only. Condition: New. The sensor's serial number is listed on your invoice so you can register and track it.
What warranty is included?
Every sensor we sell is covered by our own 12-month seller warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Full terms, including what's not covered, are on our warranty page.
